How to Maintain

Ongoing maintenance of certification status will require annual submissions, which will entitle the individual to ongoing use of the CDMP designation as well as publication and inclusion in the registry of professionals.

31 August of each year is the renewal deadline for the submission of documentation and the annual membership fee.

Your certification renewal submission must include all of the following:

  1. Renewal Application – Maintaining Certification
    A completed and signed Renewal Application – Maintaining Certification form.
  2. Work Experience
    Letter(s) of Attestation on employer’s letterhead, completed and signed by manager/supervisor
    providing proof of ongoing work experience in the field of disability management.
  3. Continuing Education Credit Hours
    Proof of 20 continuing education credit (CEC) hours must be submitted every year, or proof of 40CEC hours may be submitted every second year, and must include credits related directly to isability management. Official transcripts, certificates or other signed documentation must be
    included. The following forms may be used:
    •  Continuing Education Summary with applicable attachments.
    •  Confirmation of Attendance form, completed and signed.
    •  Research Report form, completed and signed.
  4. Statement of Agreement for Ethical Standards and Professional Conduct
    Complete and sign the Statement of Agreement for Ethical Standards and Professional Conduct form.
  5. Annual membership fee
    £100.00 may be paid by cheque, credit card, click here for online payment of annual membership fee using our membership system.

All of the above documentation required to renew your certification must be submitted by mail or e-mail. Details are provided once you are a registered member.

Failure to maintain certification status will require the candidate to repeat the entire certification process by applying to re-certify, which includes re-sitting the exam and paying the certification exam fees.
